Cash games: Hold'em, Omaha, Short Deck
No-Limit Hold'em is where everyone starts: the deepest pool and by far the most study material. Omaha deals four hole cards and requires exactly two; PLO5 and PLO6 add cards, raise made-hand frequencies, and amplify variance. Short Deck removes deuces to fives and reorders the hand rankings — flushes beat full houses.
PLO typically demands at least twice the bankroll of the equivalent Hold'em stake. Bringing a Hold'em bankroll to the same PLO level materially raises your risk of ruin. Drop one or two levels first.
Rush & Cash
Fold and you move immediately. Two consequences follow:
- Roughly triple the hands per hour. For anyone climbing rakeback tiers this is the most efficient format available, and the rake cap is lower than standard cash.
- Reads go to nearly zero. You will not face the same players repeatedly, so dynamic adjustment loses value and disciplined ranges gain it.
Because tables change so fast, it is easy to play double your intended volume without noticing. Set a time limit before you start — use the clock as your stop, not a hand count.

The core MTT problem is sample size. Single-tournament ROI is almost pure noise; trends only emerge over hundreds of entries. Before treating MTTs as a primary format, confirm your bankroll survives 200 consecutive events without a cash.
Spin & Gold
The prize multiplier is drawn after you register, and the largest multipliers are vanishingly rare. That structure defines the format: most games pay little, and your long-run expectation concentrates in a handful of outliers.
What works
- Short games that fit into fragments of time
- Fast volume accumulation, which helps rakeback tiers
- Simple structure — no deep tournament strategy required

- Extreme variance; downswings of hundreds of games are normal

How is Rush & Cash different from a normal cash table?
Fold and you are moved instantly to a fresh table with new opponents rather than waiting out the hand. You see roughly three times the hands per hour, and the rake cap is lower (about 0.5–1 BB). The trade-off is that you gather almost no reads, so position and preflop range discipline carry more weight.
What changes in Short Deck?
The deuces through fives are removed, leaving 36 cards. Flushes beat full houses, straights come in more often, and the ace plays low as a five. Everyone's hands are stronger on average, so preflop ranges tighten and the bar for a postflop value bet rises.

You are dealt five or six cards instead of four, still using exactly two. More cards means stronger made hands all round, so bare aces and weak flush draws lose value preflop, and variance rises noticeably.
