What GGPoker is and who runs it
GGPoker is an online poker platform owned and operated by NSUS Group Inc. It has been running since 2017 and is one of the largest international poker networks by traffic. Chinese-speaking players call it GG撲克 or gg扑克, and the Chinese-facing client is branded GGPuke — all three names point at the same pool of tables.
The international offering operates under a licence from the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission (GSC). In February 2021 the operator moved international players from its previous Curaçao licence to the Isle of Man. Separately, it runs locally licensed products in the UK, Malta, Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Ontario, each with its own wallet and player pool — which is the real reason your friend can log in and you cannot.

- No opt-in, no promotion. The Honeymoon missions must be started manually, and the window does not reopen.
- Ninety days is a hard stop. Clearing the full US$600 needs US$3,000 in rake — about US$33 a day. If that is not your volume, do not deposit the maximum.
- Missions run on UTC. Taiwan and Hong Kong are UTC+8, so 23:59 UTC is 07:59 the following morning locally. People lose missions to that gap every month.

Rake and rakeback: where the long-run money goes
You collect a welcome bonus once. Rake comes out of every pot. Over a year, your rakeback tier matters far more than the sign-up number.
Most cash formats take 5% rake with a cap that scales by stake. Rush & Cash uses the same rate with a noticeably lower cap (roughly 0.5–1 BB). On the loyalty side, Fish Buffet was replaced by Ocean Rewards in January 2026: you earn points, climb tiers, and convert points back to cash at a rate that improves as you climb.

- Licensing. The international product answers to the Isle of Man GSC; local products answer to their own regulators. Regulation does not remove risk, but it gives disputes somewhere to go.
- Anti-cheating. The operator publishes enforcement notices and fund returns, and restricts certain third-party tools.
