How satellites work
Suppose 200 players enter and ten seats are awarded. First place and tenth place receive exactly the same thing — one seat. That single sentence is the whole of satellite strategy.

Why satellite strategy is different
- Stop when you are safe. Once your stack qualifies, calling off with aces against another big stack is negative expectation — winning gains nothing, losing costs the seat.
- Stalling on the bubble is legitimate. Short stacks are consumed by blinds; doing nothing still advances you.
- Short stacks must move earlier. Waiting until you have three big blinds leaves you no fold equity at all.
- Watch the qualification line, not the leaderboard. The only number that matters is how many players still have to bust.
Before acting, ask: “how much does winning this pot increase my chance of a seat?” If the answer is close to nothing, do not play it. That is the fundamental difference from regular tournaments.

Redeeming a seat
- Submit identity documents; the name spelling must match your account.
- Age verification: below the legal age you cannot take part, free qualification or not.
- Confirm entry requirements for the host country, including visas and residency rules.
- Obtain written confirmation — you may need to present it at registration.

Can a free app really produce a live tournament seat?
ClubGG periodically runs events that offer live-event qualification, usually through multi-stage satellites: small events feed larger ones, and the final stage awards a seat or a package. Whether such events are running, and what they award, depends on the current schedule — check the in-app events page.
What is a satellite?
A tournament whose prize is entry to a bigger event rather than cash. The strategic point is the number of qualifying seats: once you are safely inside it, you should tighten rather than maximise chips.
Do I still pay anything after winning a seat?
It depends on the prize. Some awards are entry-only tickets; others are packages including flights and accommodation. The difference is substantial, so read the prize breakdown before you register.
Is identity verification required?
Usually yes. Redeeming a live seat normally requires identity and age verification, and minors cannot take part. Passport name must match the account — this is the most common sticking point.
Is satellite strategy the same as tournament strategy?
Not at all. A normal tournament rewards chip accumulation; a satellite only cares whether you finish inside the qualifying places. Once your stack is safe, any marginal confrontation has negative expectation — and that is the mistake most people make.
What if I am nowhere near the venue?
